Dirty Laundry!

August 23, 2013

Doing laundry while you’re traveling is always an adventure. Sometimes you’re washing things by hand in an outdoor sink, sometimes you’re staring down at a washing machine that’s all in Spanish except the phrase “fuzzy jeans”. Yes, it happened.

But be brave and resourceful with travel chores, jet set readers! And don’t forget to pack a few exciting pieces to parade in while you’re washing your skivvies. I hung up the wash in Peru the other night wearing the epic David Dalrymple for House of Field Woven High Waisted Hanky Skirt, which, it turns out, is fun for twirling around in the courtyard with a glass of Anis Najar x coca-cola while you’re waiting for things to dry.

That’s right. Party time is all the time.

You know you want one of these.

Okay. There’s a funeral happening in my hostel right now… coffin, candles, mourners and all. So I think I might go for a walk! More textiles, wide brimmed hats, and assorted Peru action coming up.

That skirt! Drooling! Peru looks amazing! Inspiring me too travel abroad. (Except for the whole funeral thing…)

Yes! The skirt is amazing and I had too much fun twirling around in it.

TRAVEL! Even the sporadic funeral wasn’t so bad! ;} In the end, it’s all an experience and a good story to tell.

Stay tuned for more and thanks for reading, Ashley!

      xx
