Beaches, BBQ’s & Champitos

June 26, 2013

Life lately, in photos. New handmade bracelets, tropical sketches on a rainy evening, outfit planning, BBQs with mi amour, weird moccasin tan lines, flowers on the deck, photo shoots on the beach, Brazilian cocktails, and great big hearts.

My gorgeous new  Arthur and Livingston  necklace with an H&M dress (that I ended up hacking the neckline out of to increase raw edge sexy factor). Check out how I worked this into my outfit if you missed my Monday post.

Last Thursday I did a photo shoot on the beach for new Bombay Mermaid Trading Co. designs with model/actress Vanina Kondova and photographer Steven Cruz. It was mostly for the colorful Indian head chains, but I styled with some experimental clothing I’ve been working on as well.

Overall, it was amazing—and a good excuse to spend the day at the beach. These are just my behind the scenes shots. The real deal is coming soon to Bombay Mermaid Trading Co.!

I’m super excited about this: my yogi summer earring collection will be released this July! Stay tuned and keep up with Bombay Mermaid Trading Co. for more info…

After the shoot we rewarded ourselves for the strenuous (haha) day of shooting on the beach with some champitos and cheesy bread at Miss Favela, one of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn.

The past few weeks Raffa and I have been shooting a lot of reviews for Denim Therapy, frolicking through Greenpoint and Williamsburg in our favorite jeans. Below are a couple shots from our post about the Durty Laundry t-shirt line, which you can check out here.

You may notice in the coming months that I wear a bikini top under literally everything. Highly recommended. You never know when you may wanna rip your shirt off, after all. It’s getting sticky-pavement hot in the city.

Anyway—summer is off to a creative start! July is going to be absolutely bananas and I have so many projects coming up to share with you guys.

Tell me what brilliant projects and endeavors you’ve got cooking as well!
