Photo Diary ✿ Bohemian Festival 2013
For a few years I’ve been contributing organizational and artist efforts to summer music festivals here in New York City. The events always feature an amazing global collective of musicians, artists, dancers, vendors, workshop leaders, and more.
This year we had a great turnout despite rainy, chilly weather. We camped out and danced ourselves dry like festive troopers. As with any collaborative effort, some things didn’t go as planned, but you can’t go wrong when you’re in the great outdoors dancing to flamenco guitar with your BFFs and a fresh coat of henna, can you?
Above, tons of people I admire and adore, who all brought something unique to the table. Some of these people are internationally renowned musicians who took time out of their schedule to come perform for very little money, because they love our community.
It’s a wild feeling when you spend months conjuring, planning, and collaborating with people and then meet up to create an event like this, and see it all come to life—fire dancing and all!
Check out this video I edited of the event for an even closer look at the bohemian magic we achieved…
