Live Worldly: 5 Festive Accessories For Summer

April 15, 2013

So it’s barely spring, but I’m full-on daydreaming about what I’ll be wearing to the beach this summer, so we might as well get right to it!

Live Worldly is an amazing e-retail site where you can stock up on stylish, fun fashion & lifestyle gear that’s…well, worldly. It’s from all over the globe, promoting “the collective human spirit”. Proceeds from each sale are donated to that item’s country of origin. It’s fashion that gives back, and also gives you something other than your run-of-the-mill Zara attire.

Love the vibrancy of the selection you picked, just goes to show that being conscious friendly doesnt have to be boring.

Exactly! In fact some of the most amazing things you can wear come from these small vendors around the world. It makes our generic fast fashion selection look completely dull in comparison.

Aren’t they awesome? I found this further info on them and how purchasing them gives back to the artisans who create them, as well as an organization that supports the preservation of wildlife in Costa Rica:

“Our Titi Sandalias vendor is a member of the Titi Monkey (Saimiri Oerstedii Citrinellus) conservation group, a subspecies in danger of extinction. Found only in the regions of Manuel Antonio and Quepos, Costa Rica, a portion of proceeds from each pair of sandals is donated to the conservation of the Titi monkey in Costa Rica.

The founder, Marianela, works with local suppliers to source the soles and straps. Five local artisans are responsible for production of the soles, while three others produce the straps out of cotton and polyester. Inspired by her love for the Titi monkey, the sandals are an expression of fun and creativity for the wearer and represent the conservation of an endangered monkey.

In addition, Live Worldly donates a portion of proceeds from this item to The Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches.”
