Hey Mishka Loves… ♥ Link Round-Up

March 8, 2013

Welcome to Hey Mishka Loves…—the new weekly link round-up that showcases stylish, festive, inspiring content from all around e-town. Stop by on Tuesdays to get your dose, and tell me if you like what you see! This week I’ve featured everything from incredible author interviews to DIY projects and palm-reading techniques. Have at it.

Taka Naka High (pictured above)  is bringing retro back with the color-blocked class of 1986. The new autumn/winter collection is ripe with retro hues and playful style lines. The concept reminds me very much of chic bowling bags…

 Remember the last time you heard the ice cream truck approaching, grabbed your wallet, and ran out the door? Don’t lie. Soon you’ll be able to do the same thing, except you’ll be running right into a mobile vintage boutique! Check out the Kickstarter page for New York City’s first mobile vintage shop and help them make it happen!

 Gonna toot my own horn for just a minute, but not really! I updated my Top 10 list of Fashion & Festivity blogs (besides my own) that you should check out for DIY, style, spirituality, and more. New blogs added include Oh Happy Day!{frolic!}, and Sugar & Cloth.

 Learn to read the lines, pads, and contours of your hand to distinguish what kind of person you are (in case you have no idea) and what kind of life you’ll lead! You’ll be relieved to know that the “life line” people freak out over is not an indication of how long you’ll live. ;}

 Because you can never have too many braided chain bracelets in your collection, here’s a rad mint green + gold DIY skull chain bracelet to keep you crafty over the weekend.

 Get bohemian home inspiration with the new Urban Outfitters home lookbook—enough color, texture and culture to keep you travel-hungry yet happy at home.

 Finally (saved the best for last), watch one of my favorite Marie Forleo TV episodes ever, where she interviews the incredible Steven Pressfield on his book Turning Pro. If you are not subscribed to Marie Forleo, that is your homework for the night. You’re missing out big time.

Hope you enjoy these links as much as I did! Drop me a comment or come hang out with me at the Hey Mishka facebook page and let me know what you’re reading/watching lately.

P.S. This first edition was not published on a Tuesday because my new weekly schedule begins next Monday. Apologies for the confusion up thurr in the intro. Mark your calendars!

P.P.S. The new DIY page is live! You can check it out for all of Hey Mishka’s DIY projects—and definitely keep an eye for upcoming additions.
