NYFW Day #6: Long Tran + Neck-wear
I went to Long Tran FW13 last night in SoHo anticipating wild shapes and cinematic silhouettes, and that’s exactly what I got. Coined “an installation of ‘Anonymous’ – Men’s x Women’s collective”, the clothing included feathers, beaks, and creepy-beautiful concepts that brought fashion into the theater realm.
A testament to how intense the clothing was? A model tripped like three times and I barely noticed as the next epic look came down the runway. Bravo!
Above, the rhinestone bling I wore. Below, Derek’s designer rope decor. (Fashion poem, what what). Check out these stylish cuties!
If you’re familiar with the Silent Hill series… you know who this reminds me of. Scary and entrancing!
In the end this is not typically the aesthetic I get into (you guys know I favor girly bohemian fare), but I appreciated the intensity and creativity that went into these clothes. The human form in both genders was questioned and adapted through the imagination of the designer, and it was pretty awesome. Visit Long Tran on facebook for more.
After the show, Raffa took me to Balthazar (AKA Heaven) for a pastry and some sour dough bread before we came home to edit photos and prep for the last haul of NYFW. Tomorrow is my last show of the season. So much to do + report on!
Aaaand I really want to blog more, but it’s time to run. Ciao for now babes!
