Apple Festivals & Amazing Recipes
The other day I went with Raffa to the Gala Gala Hey! Apple Festival at The Drink in Williamsburg to celebrate fall’s timely arrival. We drank some incredible apple-cherry-rum drinks (piping hot), and chowed down some home-made ginger-apple pie (ridiculously good). There was live music, games, and masks of Apple Paltrow’s baby-face (weird).
Pies were provided by Pie Stand, run by Kate from Pie School—an award winning pie-baker and poet from Seattle who also happens to have the cutest job ever.
In the spirit of this delicious experience, I decided to look up some pie & fall pastry recipes of my own on Gojee (do not click on that link if you’re trying to restrict pastry intake) to try for myself as the weather gets colder. I’m even thinking about hosting a pie & hard cider party sometime in the near future!
Below are the recipes I indexed to try. Commence mouth-watering!
And of course… Good Old Fashioned Apple Pie
I’ll share my baking results as they roll in. Do the same! Would love to see what you’re up to. Btw, you can see more photos on the Hey Mishka facebook page.
