Dead Fish & Fashion

July 7, 2012

Hey guys! I wanted to share a little film I made using footage I took at NYFW and on a rainy day browsing Chinatown fish markets. It’s called Dead Fish & Fashion, and you can watch it below.

(Email subscribers, click here to watch)

“The short film features images of dead fish in the market on a rainy day in Chinatown juxtaposed with images of runway models and dead-tomorrow fashion trends, champagne bubbles, and everyday people. Shot and edited by Mishka with special thanks to Jeremy Scott, Custo Barcelona, Stephen Burrows, and Ponto Zero collective.”

It’s a little darker than most things I create, but I was inspired by the grime of Chinatown and the grim fate most concepts face in the fashion industry.

Let me know what you think!

P.S. This is post #500 on Hey Mishka!
