Ugly Christmas Sweater Roundup

December 1, 2011

There are few things in this world more unbearably festive and highly amusing as the Ugly Christmas sweater. It is one of the very few items people proudly tag as “ugly” on Etsy. Williamsburg-dwellers think it’s ironic to wear them. By societal standards, they are a garment that is simply too ugly to wear until you’re well over 65 years old. And after you’ve reached that landmark, you should have one for all 12 days of Christmas. But the truth is, everyone is entitled to a U.C.S.!

Below are my favorite 30 Ugly Christmas sweaters of the season. Click the photo and you’ll be taken right to the shop where you can make it your own. You’re welcome, internet.

I realized I was destined to be a middle school teacher or something when I realized I unironically like christmas sweaters. Not the ugly ones, but the cute little red cardigans with white reindeer or sparkly snowflakes. I just can’t help myself :D
