Mara Hoffman’s best show ever

September 9, 2011

Mara Hoffman had what I’d consider her best season yet for spring 2012, but I am definitely biased towards these colors and textures. Global tribal influence with the saturation cranked to 100%! There were elements of evening, lounge, and intimate with an overall functionality that hints at the streetwear of the future. Strips of the collection’s fabrics were woven into the hair, and big bold earrings framed the models faces.

The necklaces were made by Holst + Lee (and there is a DIY wrap-craze happening around them right now).

I am in heaven, just looking at these. My favorites are below!

Breathless! This collection is the wearable manifestation of what paradise looks like in my head.

The clothing is fantastic but the styling is my favorite part.

My measure is this: how much does this make me want to part with my money? Very much so. Hehe. Really fully realized prints. Fantastic!

Yeah, there is nothing half-ass-ethnic about these prints. This is pure trans-global gorgeousness!
