The Beautiful Dead: Dia de los Muertos

It’s Dia de los Muertos (day of the dead)! I’m very moved by the idea that our deceased loved ones can be celebrated festively, that lifetimes can be collaged with beautiful 3-D altars and food, and that an approach other than the excruciating memory-warping all-black solemn respect of those passed exists.
