High contrast & hand beading

The costume workshop which has overrun the apartment has yielded some fabulous results! Tonight we test those results on the dance floor. My spider-inspired high contrast belly dance-esque costume is below. 20 hours of costume making, watching the sun fall and rise… reminds me of the good ol’ F.I.T. term garment days.

Here’s Raffa as a flamboyant Moroccan merchant (it was my vague mood board concept while we were dreaming up the costume, not to be taken extremely literally considering he’s wearing a French navy, etc).
